- Setup / stance
- Feet hip-width apart on firm surface, knees soft
- Clinical focus
- Diagonal weight transfer, return-to-center control, cross-plane balance
- Patient instruction
- Move the dot to the front-left target and return to center. Then move to the front-right target and return to center. Keep your feet planted and shift your whole body, not just your shoulders.
- Therapist cue
- Watch for true diagonal weight transfer instead of trunk leaning
- Primary metrics
- Diagonal accuracy, center return, overshoot, correction count
- Progression / regression
- Smaller diagonal range / larger diagonal range
- Safety / guarding
- Standard supervision; guard if patient overreaches diagonally
